I started using Surgi wax not even without having any previous experience, but i never even did it in a salon! It was wonderful! The pain wasn’t as bad as i expected it to be at all. It wasn’t messy ( i did apply oil that was in the package). Brazilian wax became an easy routine. Removing hair on the underarms was easy and simple. I didn’t even pay any attention when they’ve changed the design, i only noticed that the color of the wax itself became different. And there my nightmare began – the new “improved” wax is so sticky, that no matter how much oil you apply, it sticks to the skin and it becomes really painful to get it off. I managed to remove my hair with epilator ( Emjoy), but the results were much better with the old Surgi-Wax – less pain, faster, nice smooth skin, minimum of ingrown hair. So, i’m looking for the replacent and don’t really know if there is anything on the market today as the old Surgy-Wax.

This product sounds great because you don’t have to actually mess with cloth strips or worry about them running out. Instead, after you microwave the wax and then apply it, it is supposed to harden up somewhat so that you can rip it off. I tried this product and followed the directions exactly, and at first it worked perfectly, however after I reheated the wax when it started to cool, when I applied it to the next area to wax, it no longer got “tacky.” Instead, it was just pulling apart like little strings of bubble gum and it took me literally hours to get it off. I could never get it to work right again… however the small amount that did work was nearly painless, go figure.
